A small group of swimmers from Ealing Swimming Club competed in the Edinburgh International meet held over last weekend and produced some good performances with several personal best times.

Zak Shafique (14) had a particularly good meet winning both the 100m and 200m Backstroke in the 13/14 age group while Charles Turner (23) won the men’s open 100m Freestyle and the first leg of the 50m Freestyle skins with the fastest 50m time at the meet. Natalie Durant (17) was third in the 50m Freestyle skins, fifth in the open 100m Freestyle and seventh in the 400m Freestyle, James Crawford (19) was fifth in the open 100m Backstroke and 7th in the 100m Freestyle, Sophie Shafique (14) took fourth place in the 13/14 girls’s 100m Backstroke and Edward Howard (15) finished seventh in the 15/16 years 200m Freestyle.
