David Barnes (President)

David has been involved in the world of swimming for nearly 30 years and has been a member of Ealing Swimming Club for all that time.

He became an Official in order to help out on poolside and over the years has progressed to the point where his is now a Licensed British Swimming Referee who has a County and Regional role in the training and examination of new officials.

Within the Club he progressed to being Chairman of the whole Club, a position he held for many years. When Johnny Wright took over the reins, he took on the role of Club President, a position he still holds.

As well as being involved with his work with officials he has been a member of the Middlesex County ASA Executive since 1994 and was County President in 2004. In addition he has been a member of the Swimming Judiciary at a National level for many years, chairing disciplinary and arbitration hearings in order to promote and preserve natural justice and discipline within the sport.
